Rob is a brilliant cameraperson. He constructs shots with imagination and takes enormous pride in his work. He has worked with me on videos for Princeton and Wharton among others and those productions are always made better because of his diligence and his creativity.

When I went on my first 60 MINUTES shoot, there was only one cameraman I wanted – Rob Rainey. I had worked with him for years at CNN, he’d worked for years with 60 MINUTES and I knew he’d take care of me. It is important to have a cameraman with a great eye, a great story sense and all the right gear. Rob has those and more. He’s got a great personality and he solves problems in a way that creates opportunities. He took care of me on that shoot and he’s still making me look better than I have any right to expect. Plus, if you don’t like Don, you just don’t like folks.
